Personal training and coaching is available online, both one-to-one and groups, from the comfort of your home or garden, so you can train from anywhere.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Sessions are fully supported by a qualified Run Leader and Personal Trainer, who who will help get you started with running, encourage you to go at a pace that feels right for you, and give you tips along the way. You will gradually build up your fitness through a mix of walking and running, to run 5k (or 30 minutes) at the end of the 10-week course.

There will be 1 or 2 led sessions each week, where you will be shown how to warm-up and stretch, taken through a series of run/walk progressions, and be given short talks on running-related topics such as nutrition, mindset and running technique. You are then asked to do further training sessions during the week, either on your own or meeting up with others from the group (full guidance provided).
Further support is given through a closed Facebook group where you can (if you wish) connect with others.

Hi, I'm Patricia and I never thought I'd love running as much as I do now!
Back in 2014, I followed a couch-to-5k program as I was desperate to lose 4 stone in weight in time for my wedding. I couldn't run the distance between two lamp posts in my local park without being seriously out of breath. It was hard!
But I stuck with it, and I'm so glad I did because that running program changed my life. I got fitter, I lost weight, and I started to feel much better about myself. I kept running, but also started playing tennis, and took my nutrition and health more seriously, as the better I started to feel about myself, the more I wanted to look after my body as well.
It hasn't always been easy, I've had a number of injuries along the way that has taught me a lot about perseverance and patience. But I've now run many parkruns, several 10k races, and my first half-marathon. And I've even started to run for pleasure - I never thought that would happen!
I've realised how much I love being fit and healthy, and I wanted to share that with others. So I decided to train as a Personal Trainer and Wellbeing Coach, as well as become a Run Leader in Fitness, so that I can share my passion with others.
